I don't think either one of you anticipated this would drag out for this long or be this complicated.
I'm sure he expected to pay for lawyers and have them engage on his behalf but I just don't think he
ever planned to involve anyone else including you or me.
One way or another the lawyer(s) really do need to put an end to these discussions as they are now
extending into delays of questionable value.
Just know that I have started the conversation with him and I do not know where it will go. Or when.

process as an observer
It is probably the hardest time of my life too since I'm going through a lot of personal/professional
struggles that have been overshadowed by other stuff
Hopefully soon everything will turn a corner.
