On Wednesday. June 18, The Kitchen Fort Collins will host a fundraiser to support Learning Gardens in Fort Collins schools. The Kitchen Community Learning Gardens support STEAM education and experiential play outdoors as an extension of the classroom. They are catalysts for community-wide improvements in childhood nutrition, socialization and student achievement. On May 22, The Kitchen Community and Bauder Elementary School planted the first Learning Garden in Fort Collins. Over 200 students participated in the day's event by moving soil, planting, watering and learning about their new space. The garden will be open to the school community all summer long.
