Japan aviation authorities are very strict and require long advance planning with strict permits/slots/etc. So if the friend is Japanese or has at least used the jet in Japan before I would assume no issues. If the friend casually offered, I would make sure the crew/dispatch group has run the traps. In either case, with pre- planning, should be doable.
