When I decided to go to design school, you did't let me do my assignments because you felt I should be spending that time catering to you. It wasn't worth the fights so I gave up and quit. When I started to fly and do something for my personal growth for a change, you were against it too. I refused to be discouraged by the same fights and spent time learning anyway. You still paid for it for which I thank you but it led to endless arguments and ultimately the end of our relationship.
