Mavin may have let you know that he did reach Watson yesterday --Jim is trying to rearrange something so he is a Maybe. Also he requested an actual letter (which should be immediate)as he doesn't use e-mail. Does the letter come from Jeffrey or from Marvin? If from Marvin we can get it out in the next couple of days. Marvin has not yet reached Parker, and Krauss ,whom he did reach, is checking into a possible conflict. Can the final hotel reservations be delayed for a few days. Marvin had the idea of asking each of the academic people to bring along one of their brilliant future looking students. I'm not sure he discussed this with Jeffrey, as he just thought of it. This would get some more young scientists in the mix. I wonder if this might also work for the business folks.
