As to the attorney, info plucked from Mrs. Quinn's blog and public record in New York, he kept his nose to the legal grindstone from the time he graduated until 2008 when he up and resigned from Royal Alliance, very abruptly according to her. The date seems to be around 7/08. They sold out of Manhattan, about $3.5 million for a condo, $50 K in transfer tax, last known mortgage $250K. They also liquidated their stock portfolio and moved to a very upscale condo in Sunny Isles Beach, renting. He was at loose ends and studied for the Florida Bar exam which he eventually took and passed. Just to show how much stuff folks dump out on the web...two kids, Schuyler, female, last known back in New York attending the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory, Sam, in high School in Florida, once thought impaired because of a hearing deficiency, newest pet, Olive, a Pomeranian, one of four pets total. Mark David Quinn landed the gig with First Alliance in late 2008 and has commuted from San Diego since or until recently. There is no mention of Cara Holmes on Mrs. Quinn's blog going back years. There is no obvious Nexus for Mark and Cara. There is no obvious reason for him to be involved in your case. I also note that Cara, who had a chance to update her Florida Bar web entry when she paid her dues this month, did not change her mail drop address or her old RRA phone numbers. Is she hiding? You might recall her question of my process server, *How did you know where to find me?' Where did Cara and Mark hook up as friends, who knows. It certainty was not law school. She worked briefly in New York before the FBI in Chicago. His move to California came around the time she moved here. He and she might have overlapped while studying for the Florida Bar but that is slim. There is no easy answer to this one, yet. But, I am not sure it matters. Unless he is terribly sharp or being tutored by the opposition he should be behind the curve on Florida law.
