They cleared up urinary infection and low sodium. She now can walk and is gaining strength. She was sent to the new Hebrew home for Aged in Rockland county...also a rehab facility for a week or two. They will exercise her, monitor her and get her strength back. Her Sloane Kettering doctor is NOT giving her the 6th round of chemo. She has done five and done. She turns 87 today. She is much better than she was on Monday. I know you think it's over very soon. My gut is she has a year or so. I am clueless here. It all depends if they caught the cancer and how soon it comes back. Just getting up. Will call shortly. Around today. Have a birthday lunch at Moma. Calvin Klein is having a birthday dinner downtown for his twinkle boyfriend tonight. Sat afternoon going to visit mom then to Peter Smith's -past partner of Lazard Freres who lives on estate in Easton, Conn with wife. He went to Syracuse law when I was an 18 year old freshman and been friends since. lie is head of admissions of Maidstone Golf Club and wife is head of Colony Club! Not Jewish! Invited Lany Kudlow, (on TV) other Republican friend from high school and his wife coming for dinner. Larry is Jew converted to Catholic...bom again. Grew up with him...and Claudia Cohen in neighborhood. How bad is it outside? How long are you here? Have perpetual party fatigue. Had a very productive 5 days in LA.
