also, gold mines are an easy target too. i found an obscure way to make a ton of money there too. it's not worth
the time to just do one mine though. you can capture methane (21x carbon) by flaming the ambient methane
generated from gold mining. do you know peter hambro? i know him very well and he's willing to let me have all
the carbon rights for all of his gold mines in the east (ugh russia). that one is tricky politics but it seems to me,
free money.
i don't know how/what to do. can't do this as a charitable thing (foundation money) and i certainly don't have the
resources personally but i've had such a good time playing the carbon markets with solid waste that i think i
understand them a little better. you should act quickly. probably need to file projects before 2012.

there is a pretty neat loophole in the kyoto protocol as it relates to HFC. we couldn't do it in the USA but with
less than a 25M investment you could make 1 billion in a year. pretty neat. china is the only currently
currently exploiting the loop hole and everyone is pissed off but nothing can be changed. we would have to
find a country that would let us build a stupid refrigerant plant (that wouldn't actually need distribution etc)
where we would create hfc 23 only to destory it by flaming. flaming is super cheap. it would be super fun. i
was thinking that since you knew the president of senegal and he doesn't care about controvery it might be
fun. the other place we could try is angola. what do you think? look it up
search for HFC and CDM (clean development mechanism) or HFC and China or HFC and loophole
