We were standing outside Dubai Mall at valet parking waiting for his driver to arrive when a bright orange Ferrari pulls up. My friend gets all quiet and stares at it. I was thinking to myself:"I know he's seen a Ferrari before..." Moments later my friend says: "Only here would that be OK." After 4 years in the UAE I've become more jaded than a New Yorker! I don't even flinch when someone pulls up in an bright orange Ferrari! Note to self: DO NOT pick up phone when hot man calls if on a self-flushing toilet: "Hi! Where are you?" "Mmm... Just at the mall..." Then the self-flushing toilet has to flush of course and someone farts in the stall next to me... Well, this ought to teach me NOT to answer the phone while on the toilet. On the upside, it didn't deter him from calling me again! You might ask why I would EVER pick up the phone while on the toilet? Did I not just tell you I think it's perfectly normal to see a guy wearing a man-dress (also called a dish-dacha) step out of a bright orange Ferrari? Forget about looking gay carrying a man-purse!
