Subject Musee Rodin-Gates of Hell
I spoke to a gentelman today from the Musee Rodin re the Gates of Hell. The museum really
wants its pieces to be exhibited publicly ...so if purchased, placed in a museum for all to see...if a
piece is purchased for private use it becomes complicated...the man wanted to know if you had
anything to do with the person in Geneva who has also recently asked for a price/has interest in
the Gates of Hell...I requested this gentleman please give me a price and he said he can only give
me an 'idea' of price as it is up to the Board of Trustees- they give the final price...you must
send a written letter to the director of the Board for this...'it's a process'...but finally he gave me
the `idea' of price as 22-25 million Euros.
The man said he had received my emails as well and would respond back with a synopsis of this
information ...I have yet to receive it...(l sent another email to him)
