The word from there is that our work is felt to be extremely valuable by UNICEF, World Vision, WHO, Save the Children and many other relief agencies. We are hearing this from others as well. For the 17 years we've known each other (we first met at Stephen Jay Gould's apartment and then I consulted at the NYC residence), we have never discussed my relief work. I think he still secs me as working with people who are dying while in fact I am focused mostly on disaster relief. Now is a time I believe his valuable support can truly make a huge difference.
