I want the floors to be wider planks, a dark chocolate stain...I was actually now thinking I want to do hard wood in the foyer as well but with a pattern...1 will send you a few pictures I found on Houzz that I really like. It could make the transition easier from foyer to kitchen to family room also...maybe we do the family room hard wood as well with very large area rugs...If we don't have columns to really separate the rooms, I don't know it would look to just stop the wood and start carpet...
