Members travelling to/from the country on 21 April should reconfirm flight schedules due to a series of strikes by aviation workers impacting several airports, as well as the national carrier Alitalia, EasyJet and Meridiana fly airlines. Ground handling staff at Verona Villafranca (VRN), Rome Fiumicino (FCO), Turin (TRN), Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and Padua (QPA) airports will hold a strike from 10.00 to 18.00 (local time), and at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) from 10.00 to 14.00. Cabin crew and pilots from easyJet and Alitalia will observe a strike between 10.00 and 18.00. Staff from Meridiana fly will stage a walkout from 12.00 to 16.00.
