Computers - UVI and Zero Tolerance
I spoke with the Dept of Ed and told them t=at we are unwilling to give the 100 computers to their seniors heading to
=ollege without public acknowledgement.
UVI has requested, in writing to Souther= Trust, funding for 34 computers for students in their "University Bound
P=ogram". This program extends services to students in high schools (p=blic, private and parochial) in both districts
from families meeting low-i=come criteria, first generation college students and/or students who =ave an academic
need. All the students are seniors. There are =4 in the St. Thomas/St. John District and ten in the St. Croix District,</=iv>

Zero Tolerance has made a request for funds to attend a Youth Basketb=ll of America tournament in Florida in July.
The total b=dget is $17K. I would like to instead talk to Mr. Todman (Director) =bout supplying his boys these
computers. If we donate 34 to the UVI =niversity Bound Program we would have 66 left. Thoughts?
