It's been an amazing one for all of us at TKC. We kicked it off with o=r big annual fundraiser in Aspen, Colorado. We were joined by 200 of our f=iends and supporters and spent the evening in Wonderland, enjoying an incr=dible meal together, listening to a performance by Aloe Blacc, and raising=over $1,000,000 for our work building Learning Gardens in schools. We also took big steps toward our 2020 Growth plan this summer, buildi=g our first Pittsburgh Learning Gardens in partnership with the awesome to=m at Grow Pittsburgh, and announcing our plans to break ground in Indianap=lis this fall. Our team couldn't be more ready for this school year and is already el=ow-deep in the Learning Garden beds, working with teachers to get in their=last harvests before the weather turns. We're so excited for what's to come and we're so glad you're along for=the ride with us! The Kitchen Comm=nity transformed Sandoval's existing courtyard into a beautiful Learning G=rden outdoor classroom, and it's already thriving with TLC from the school= Sandoval has plans to make the garden a central featur= of their school community, incorporating curriculum to provide hands-on l=arning in existing subjects and digging into lessons on nutrition and heal=h and learning about real food. In September, our friends from Wells Fargo joined a gr=up of fourth graders at Sandoval to plant some fall crops in their brand n=w Learning Garden.
