That was required so that the contribution could be considered by you as a charitable contribution. I am sorry to bother you with all this, but this outcome does not surprise me. However, since Columbia may allow this account to be transferred to Stony Brook, I am trying to shift some expenses from this gift account to another account that I now control but that Columbia will not release, so I may be more.
