Total height of cavity is 25" (leaving no room for dirty dishes. I believe your best solution is an insulated soft side bage that is easy to carry and maneuver through the aircraft and most forgiving should someone (Larry / Dave) "bump" into a chair back by accident. This one is pretty cool as you can have jojo plug it into a cigarette lighter to stay warm. The only thing is that the person retrieving the food would have to slide the bag out of the cavity to gain access as the "access panel" is on the fwd side — NOT the inboard side.
