Total height of cavity is 25" (leaving =o room for dirty dishes. I believe your best solution is an ins=lated soft side bage that is easy to carry and maneuver through the aircra=t and most forgiving should someone (Larry / Dave) "bump" into a chair back by accident.<=p> This one is pretty cool as you can hav= jojo plug it into a cigarette lighter to stay warm.
