At what level do you look for feedback?
As far as I know: Within the nervous system, most of the processing =eems to be top-down (and indeed, I emphasize
mostly bottom up during =he lecture). Between the computational machine of the mind and the =omputational machine
of the universe, there is no feedback, but purely =or formal reasons. That is because all the feedback is taken care of on
=he physical level, i.e. it is not the mind that "writes" into the =niverse, but the brain. (Similar to personal computers:
strictly =peaking, software does not change states of the physical machinery, but =he physical machinery itself changes
its states; software exists on a =ifferent level of description that is supervenient on, but causally =nsulated from physics.)
