It's about reputation and perception. Public good/service has a high premium as I
begin to make money. I took a (modest and temporary, I hope) reputational hit
with the book amongst my (jealous) peers cos of the tut-tutting about disclosure
and speed. But that was due to the serialisation. As people read the book over the
summer, the tut-tutting will subside, as it is starting to do already.
