Since I last saw you, I am proud to say that I will be doing my first show Aug. 3rd at a well known rock and jazz club in the East Village called The Living Room. I am listed on their website now. In addition to preparing for the next 2 weeks, I am going back to the studio to record 2 new songs and arrangements . One of the songs came through Sony ATV as they heard my demo and were impressed. In addition to the gig at the Living Room, I also have 2 gigs in Paris which I would have to personally fly my band over for. I am going to just come out and say it...I was wondering if you could sponsor the development of my career. I find myself in a frustrating position because its something my Nana does not understand and my aunt is clearly blocking anything good to come to me. I know my Dad would have done this for me and I just dont have anyone else to turn to. I look up to you as a father figure. I find myself at the same crossroads as a year ago when you so generously offered to send me on that trip to Africa.. I need someone to help me stay on the path that I have found that continues to inspire me and go for my dream. I have assembled a team who has brought me this far and there is a clear path of opportunity that requires my total focus, commitment but with some financing. I am shocked that I can't depend on my family they don't get it. I have figured out that I need about $80,000 til the end of the year to make what is out there, happen.
