I'd like to clarify any misunderstandings that may exist with Neil Young's departure from your flight department. I was informed of a new flight department starting up in the California area that was in need of a Chief Pilot. During the process of locating a well qualified person that I would only give my highest endorsement, I contacted Neil and asked if he would entertain the possibility of taking on this new opportunity. At no time did I consult Mr. Epstein or Ms. Maxwell of my pilot candidates, nor did they have any knowledge of this process at anytime. There are few opportunities in this industry that present the opportunity to start a fresh department from the ground up, Neil, being a friend and confidant, was open to meet with this new company to explore the possibility of becoming chief Pilot. If not for this opportunity being a Chief Pilot position, I would have not ask Neil to make a lateral move, or in any way poach a friends pilot. During my first conversations with Neil, we discussed the ethics of looking at this potential employment opportunity, Neil though this opportunity to be the right career move for himself and his family at this point of his life. I am sorry if this has caused aggravation, It was not my intent I was just trying to help a friend better himself. High line personal flight departments, such as yours and Mr. Epstein's, position opportunities usually come through personal recommendations, being a small community of private operators, we try to help each other out.
