Stone only,to compare apples and apples with contractor costs. we have 656 man hours of laying stone @$10.504(all in including burden) 1,350 sq.ft was laid = $7.78 per sq.ft. This compares to contractor costs of walls@ $15.00 per sq.ft.for walls.(the costs of veneer on buildings is $35.00 per sq.ft. by contractor) if you assume a 2' high wall road it would calculate 5 sq.ft. per liniel foot x $7.78 =$38.90 per ft. for stone laying. the costs of footings and mortar mix and layout are over and above which we estimate to be around $11.00 per finial ft. for walls hence our $50.00 per ft. for budgeting .
