Trent,
If there is a proposal for providing a deed in lieu of foreclosure, I have not received same from
National City. Perhaps I misspoke in discussing the Stonegate Bank case with you. I am
somewhat surprised that I have not heard anything from the plaintiff in our case. It could be that
with the transfer of National City assets to PNC, the whole process has stalled as new law firms
are brought aboard. I am just guessing.
If your client is willing to sign over the property to PNC and drop his cross claim, perhaps we
should develop a strategy about approaching National City's counsel about settlement. Have they
yet responded to your discovery requests?
Mike has no other bank account statements. I have checked twice already. I am sure your client
can go to the bank and, since he is an officer, get the information he needs to access the account
on line. I understand he is a signer on the account.
My client has made many overtures to speak directly with your client. I think a return call would
go a long way to getting the panics to find a settlement.
Regards,
Mark
