I assume you're aware of the TED conference videos online, yes? Which have you liked? Loved? Hated? Have you viewed any of the Long Now Foundation's lectures, the "Seminars About Long-term Thinking"? Several are on the fora.tv website. I just attended one in San Francisco that's not posted yet by David Eagleman -- like me, a neuroscientist; like me, very interested in history; unlike me, a best-selling author of literature!
