No I am serious.
Today I was thinking about what an amazing life I have had and it all started when I met you!
Truly!!
You made me finish med school and finish residency and you even bought a year of my life so that I could catch
up on all the stuff I missed while training.
I don't think anyone has been so fortunate and I wanted you to know that I really did (and do) appreciate it.
I know over the years I've disappointed you a few times but never on purpose. I'm still Texan, we're slow
learners.

I was just thinking today that I didn't thank you enough - sometimes I forget what a critical role you played in
my life. Thanks for believing in me, even when I didn't believe in me. I would've still been living in a small
Texas town if I hadn't met you.
