Well if you've ever seen a locked in patient, there a no options for mobility or communication w the
exception of vertical eye movements and usually only in one eye. Its gross.
Interestingly sniffing and smelling are spared. So using the sniff (in reverse, so the puff?) to power a
wheelchair or really do anything is pretty much a breakthrough.
Its a mechanical one ("hardware upgrade") but neato.
Have you read the book called the "diving bell and the butterfly"? Its 80 pages but the guy was locked in
and "dictated" entire book through vertical eye movements and blinks. They made a movie out of it.
