He said that he finds it hard to get Googlers to seriously work on AGI and that in fact, that he would be willing to invest on external AI projects because in his view not enough people are working on it right now. He also said that he believes that AGI will "emerge from mountains of data, lots of computing power and a simple algorithm" and then he went on to be completely wrong on his reasoning of how simple intelligence must be because doesn't take much information to express it in DNA.
