Congratulations on your labeling! :-) I had that badge of distinction given to me by every female I have wanted to be with. Ha. I am moderating a panel later this month at the Kodak theater on the topic "Are We Transitioning from an Age of Information into an Age of Misinformation? And, what Can We Do About It?" My panelists will include Jon Klein (President of CNN), Arianna Huffington, Caprice Young (CEO of Milken's Knowledge Universe), Jeff Pulver, and Peter Hirshberg. Should be an interesting and important discussion. People, for the most part, have been concentrating on the quantity and efficiency of information, but not on the quality of that information. We have had a vast democritization of information, where everything is leveled out, regardless of merit. This is not a good thing. Now, anyone can be anything, post and transmit anything. Bad enough about misinformation transmitted, but now there is active disinformation rapidly transmitted. We are loosing site of information filters. Current mediums, such as twitter, loose the essential core of information, which is context. Anyway, that's the theme of the discussion. Want to bring attention to the issue. Otherwise, working evaluating a cold fusion device for one of the google guys. It's nuts, won't work, but I am saving their asses from investing millions into this junk science. Lately, there has been a new outbreak of energy devices, promising clean renewable energy, but they arc crackpot. They look scientific, have enough scientific and technical jargon to fool the educated layperson, but not the expert. At least I am getting paid doing this type of physics.
