Mechanical Building, retaining walls
To: JEE
Contacted Tom Melnick in regard to the retaining walls for the Mechanical
Building. His recommendation is to do the Following.
1. form pad and retaining walls between existing engineering and new mechanical
building, this area would be use for fuel truck storage etc.
Please note original plans had an access road, and existing engineering removed.
The above would give you the option to refurbish engineering structure later.
2. If you do not intend to extend Mechanical building for new RO and cistern,
then another retaining wall will need to constructed to retain fill and also to
give access to roof area for boat trailer storage etc.
Your last indication to extending the building was , "probably"
Notes:
Tom needs a decision by Friday, as to which direction you wish to proceed and to
keep on schedule.
Newman and Moll will demobilize by the end of next week, i.e. all forms,
containers of equipment will be removed from the Island
Would recommend that Tom views budget on this, once direction is given.
Please advise
Brice
