Subject: Current Affairs in Mongolia
Dear Bruno, David and Olly,
e
<mailto

I wanted to reach out to you with my perspective on the current affair= in Mongolia.
Since last Friday Oct 30, 2015, the infighting between factions of pol=tical fighting have gotten to the extreme. The
Economic Crime Dept of the =riminal Police ("Police") raised his home and arrested Batzaya, = understand, accusing him
of awarding TT-GS railway line EPC contract to a false Samsung C&T Company. The Police a=so raided Samsung C&T local
Ulaanbaatar office that day. This informat=on is available online at http:/=www.ikon.mn/n/Idl
<http://www.ikon.mn/n/Idl>
Furthermore, i understand, that I'm a main target for the Police due t= our previous engagement with you and your
team at McKinsey on the railway=project for Phase 1 & 2 pursuant to the State Railway Transportation P=licy ratified by
the Parliament on June 24, 2010 and subsequent Government of Mongolia resolutions, authorizi=g our joint
engagement. The accusation to me is that a false McKinsey &= Company was engaged and the proceeds were applied to
a third party. We al= know that this is an absolutely wrong accusation even after authorities checked on your Beijing
office last year= Thus, I understand that actions have been taken today against individual =artners of your firm. I fully
sympathize with your team members.
Personally, i was extremely lucky that I was out on a business trip ou=side Mongolia. The Police raided our office,
confiscated boxes of document= and laptops of our team. They also raided my home.
Im safely outside Mongolia. I would be happy to speak on the phone as =eed be. I have also copied Mr. Michael
Richmond at the US Embassy in Ulaan=aatar to provide my perspective as there are always two sides of the story=
lm reachable over the email. Im sure that my emails are being tracked =s weil.
