Eileen first approached me about a month ago and expressed her point of view that as I got more and more "up to speed" that it was inevitable that she would be leaving. At the time, I asked her if she would give the situation more time. When we talked again last week she re-emphasized the inevitability and I re-emphasized my reliance on her and my desire for her to stay as long as possible. In that context we agreed that July 1st would be Eileen's last day. During the next several months Eileen will be (i) helping to accelerate my learning curve (ii) remain the supervisory head of the multiple real-estate projects (iii) continue to be this office's primary liaison to Phaidon; (iv) continue to work with Debra and the children (v) continue to manage the office and (vi) help me on some important strategic projects such as best practices in becoming a G2 office. Everybody knows better than me how fully committed Eileen has been for many years to making the office the best that it could be and her fierce loyalty to Leon and his family.
