Importing some people in June
Dear Jeffrey,
an opportunity to get a team together in June would really be excellent. =ver the last years, I have accrued some trusted
programmer friends, =ostly former students. They are already working on the project right =ow, as far as their time
permits.
By June, we will also have a better idea which direction our work at =artin's department and/or with Kevin is going to
take.
Currently, we have the following plan:
- Design a simulation experiment to evolve a population of agents with a =asic motivational system.
- Extend the current software infrastructure with a scripting language, =raphical viewers and evaluation tools.
- Discuss end develop the theory.
- Look at possible applications (especially signals for machine =earning, mobile agents, multiuser games)
These are the people I would like to bring:
- Dominik Welland (MA Cognitive Science)
- Ronnie Vuine (MA Computer Science, Co-Founder and software architect =t txtr)
- Priska Herger (MA Computer Science)
- Jonas Kemper (currently doing his MA thesis on my cognitive =rchitecture)
They are all German or Swiss citizens and since they won't draw a =alary, they can simply travel on the visa waiver
program.
If you approve, I will get their details to Leslie (there is still =lenty of time).
Bests, and thank you!
Joscha
PS It seems we have found a fully furnished apartment halfway between =arvard and MIT (the owners have gone to
Cornell for three years), =tarting from June; rent will be $3200. We will need something temporary =or April and May,
but it looks perfect.
