Amidst all =his, I am personally grateful to him as my sister-in-law was recently -- a challenge I =now he has recognized and funded. In two =eeks, I'll be presenting at this upcoming event, UMass Boston To Host an =nternational Conference on Disaster Management in May 2014 - University =f Massachusetts Boston. The BostonCon=erenceAbstract_WS.htm I submitted was accepted and I am now a =eatured presenter and will also sit on a panel to discuss the unique =eeds of children immediately following natural =isasters. The attention our small =oundation is now receiving is exciting; however, our continued growth =nd success is dependent upon establishing a protocol to study our =ethodologies to prevent PTSD. We spoke briefly about this and now must =ove forward. A prominent member of our =dvisory Council (who is surely known to Jeffrey) can arrange for this =tudy to be performed by the Rand Corporation (where he is a Senior =dvisor) or a similarly qualified organization but we urgently need =150,000 - $200,000 to hire a clinical director to head this research =nd fund the infrastructure for it to =egin. If you or he can instruct us how =o proceed more formally if necessary in making this request, I am most =illing to go to the next step. I also want to =eiterate my personal concern for him and hope we can reconnect when =ossible. I am back in the US now and remain available to meet or =peak.
