Once outs=de we tied of to a sea wall at crowley docks and I dove the underside of th= barge. All was clear and seemed undamaged, there is a rip in the port ster= of about 10 inches that requires welding. After inspection we started engi=es which they did but steering was not running, engines throttles seized hy=raulic leaks. After all this the barge was towed back to sub base dry dock w=re they allowed us to tie up. It is my opinion the barge needs repairs befo=e being able to use, a true assesment of the steering and hydraulic system n=eds to get done prior to use. I drive the barge usually when Bosco is on v=cation and every time the barge is in worst shape than the last, there is a=complete lack of proper maintenance and a million things jerry rigged, the b=eaker panel has 14 switches not one labeled to mention one.
