As discussed on site, the problem with the emergency gene=ator #2 is with the exciter coil and the companion diode plate. <=pan> When we had the failure of #2 during the rehab of #1 the rear end was t=ken off #1 and quickly refurbished to get it installed on the failed unit s= as to have back up power. Due to the emergency time line a=complete disassembly of the #1 rear end did not happen. This would have add=d a week or more to the timeline of getting back on line. Unfortunately tha= gamble did not pay off as we now are forced to do exactly the work that wa= skipped over in the name of expediency due to the fact of a failure within=the diode plate itself which requires a complete disassembly of the rear en= to repair. This will need to take place off of LSJ at a r=pair facility. Work can begin immediately on the original f=iled rear end as it is currently at the repair facility. A quote of 15,000.=0 has been provided and will include a warranty on the repairs to be made.<=span> Omega is the company providing the quote and has said a depo=it of $8,000.00 is required prior to starting.
