The movie won "Best of Fest" at =he South Carolina Underground Film Festival in November. In December, I =on a Best Director award from the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival. =t also won Best Supporting Actress (my wife Cindy as Sandy Good) and =est Production Design. This week, I was informed that the film will =creen at the Midwest WeirdFest in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in March and at =he Brighton Rocks Film Festival in the UK this June. The movie also got =nterest from a sales rep who works with a guy named Jeff Dowd. My =eneration knows him as the inspiration for "The Dude" =Tom The Big Lebowski, but you may remember him as one 4 the "Seattle Seven," who got arrested and tried after =emi-violent Weathermen style protests. Do you know him? He seems like a =uy who was likely a fan of The Realist." I'm =ot sure if I'm going to work with he and his partner, but =hey're interesting dudes. I took a teaching job this past fall at =y alma mater in West Virginia teaching theater and film. Lots of =luegrass, old deadheads, and brownies to make the head happy.
