I released a =hort factual statement about my choice to retire to the press and the =eview process that is now completed, without commentary. My =tatement about the atmosphere at the University not being conducive to =e if I were to return has nothing to do with the University but rather =o me. It has to do with the publicity surrounding my current =ituation and my concerns for my own protection should I put myself in an environment where future =alse claims might be likely to be lodged against me. Also, I did =ot release my retirement letter to the press as you =laimed, and have no intention of releasing it. That letter =as meant for President Crow and its purpose was to communicate facts to =im as I experienced them associated with my decision to retire that =resident Crow can explore to help the University and protect the =niversity Community in the future.
