( i kid you not. ) = I announced my intention to retire from my position as Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and the Physics Department at ASU, at the end of this academic year, May 16, 2019. I feel vindicated th=t the University has accepted my retirement request and agreed to my request=to retirel with no admission of wrongdoing. It is worth stressing that following the University Investigation it remains true that none of my students, faculty colleagues, postdoctoral research associates, or participants in the Origins events I led over the the past decade at ASU has issued any complaints to the University regarding my behavior. The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences had recommended my dismissal on July 31 that was recommended by the Office of Equity and Inclusion. Subsequent to that I appealed their decisio= and presented new evidence and information After my sub=ission we agreed that i would not need to ackowledge any wrong=oing and I am gratified by this result.
