I asked about money, and he was unclear, although he said if I retired he thought I would=get whatever retirement package there is.. which of course is nothing, and s=id he didn't think the university would be willing to give money (w=ich goes against what the conciliation committee said he said when they met him, so maybe he simply doesn'= know). I also asked him about a statement to save face.. since that w=s my other condition in the conciliation process.. namely to restore my rep=tation to some extent. He said he thought the university would come out with a brief statement saying I had decided t= retire.. So basically, his first offer is nothing at a=l.. I am going to come up with a counter proposal and will give i= to him on Wed and we will see what happens or whether we have to move forw=rd to the next step.
