We wer= trying to see if we could use part of the old Trust Asset office as oppose= to setting up on GSJ but, with no generator power, it makes no sense. WAPA contractors are in the Red Hook/Nazareth area but when I asked if the k=ew when RH would be energized, they did not have a guess. I've reached out=to Greg Rhymer of WAPA since there has not been a public statement re a pow=r schedule in a week. I met with Anna yesterday and many of her staff need tarps. There seems to b= no tarps on island even though FEMA has been supplying them. I'm told tha= the FEMA tarps have been rationed out on a "who you know" basis. Home Dep=t remains closed as their engineer told them that the roof is too unstable t= open to the public. Gas and food lines have gone down as more and more vendors have opened their=doors. Every place save a very few is operating on a cash and carry basis s=nce internet access their retail systems and CC companies is almost nonexis=ent and power is challenge. The airport remains closed to commercial air traffic today because the termi=al is worse than originally thought. Many flights were canceled today.
