Thank you for this, Jeffrey. Nothing surprises me with you anymore.
I agree with your observation that a military death is no less valuable than a civilian one. You also seemed to have a
fatalistic view about conflict in the Gulf. When you put these two views alongside each other, I worry that one might
conclude that we should accept civilian casualties in parts of the world where we seem to accept military casualties.
That I do not agree with. Civilians do not choose to place themselves in harm's way.
