However, the Start Valve did not fix the issue starting the R/H engine. Thom=s stressed to me, it was pertinent that we accomplish this flight in order t= close the deal, if at all possible. Jeff Wilks is cosigning the loan, if 1=ff didn't cosign the loan the bank would require an appraisal of th= GIV, which probably wouldn't fare well for us at $3.250M, Thomas certainly understands the value of the engines and avionics, however h= thinks the bank would have a hard time understanding, so it was important t= accomplish this flight for Thomas. I contacted Tech Support at Gulfstream, it appears we have an Electrical iss=e to the Start Valve, most likely a relay or solenoid. There is a standard procedure for manually opening the start valve in the GI= checklist. I wanted to accomplish this flight in order to keep the sale, so I manually o=ened the Start Valve and the engine started Immediately, I will do the same=for my departure from Cabo back to Atlanta on Saturday. Also, if this ever happens to us on the G550, I am well briefed on this procedure=in order to accomplish the mission. I hope you think this was the correct decision? I'm leaving Bill Hammond in Cabo, to watch the GIV, the airport is v=ry secure, many Private Jets on the ramp. I'm planning to Airline to Palm Beach tomorrow morning, in case you=need me Wed or Thur? I'll Airline back to Cabo Friday afternoon, Th= scheduled departure time is Saturday at LOAM back to Atlanta. Darren needs Airline back to Palm Beach tomorrow. He is available over the w=ekend if you elect to depart LSJ. I will return to PBI Saturday night after=l drop the GIV in Macon to start the maintenance. Billy Bolhke has Aircraft in case of emergency as well. Do you approve of Darren taking the airlines home tomorrow after the Heli fl=ght to LSJ?
