Aleph is working very closely with the White House, the Department of Justice and other Government agencies to try to make it easier for formerly incarcerated individuals to reenter society. We are hoping you can assist us with some information . It has been brought to our attention that Banks and Credit Card companies routinely close accounts of individual who have a felony on their record . We need to bring detailed facts and information to the right people to get them to act to address this problem. Have you ever run into a problem since you were convicted in regards to opening or keeping a checking account, investment account or credit card account due to your felony record? If yes, please let me know the details of exactly what transpired -- the name of the bank, when it happened, what they said etc. This is very important. Providing us with this detailed information will enable us to get the banks to change their policies which help hundreds of thousands of people who are trying to reenter society and become productive law abiding citizens again.
