But its not only the humanitarian lead=rship of Kuwait: it's the wisdom, the dialogue, the promotion of un=erstanding that Kuwait has been showing in relation to all conflicts in the=region and Kuwait has no agenda. The agenda of Kuwait is peace and understa=ding. In relation to the recent crisis that occurred in the Gulf, the posit=on of the United Nations is very simple; we are here to support the Kuwaiti=mediation and this was an occasion for me to express our deep appreciation t= say how much we want to strengthen the cooperation and the dialogue betwee= Kuwait and the U.N. as we believe Kuwait is an extremely reliable partner i= our common commitment to peace and security around the world. =div id="m_4894606580600229373AppleMailSignature">We had the opportunity to discuss all the very d=fficult situations we are facing, not only the Gulf crisis, Yemen, Syria, t=e drama of the Palestinian people, Libya, the need to make sure Iraq is abl= to come together in unity after defeating ISIS. So all these aspects were d=scussed in a very detailed way and I had the opportunity, once again, to di=cuss my deep appreciation for all the initiatives Kuwait has had in relatio= to the solution to this crisis. We also discussed the situation in the Gul= and many of the humanitarian objectives that Kuwait has been leading and t=at we fully support. We are doing o=r best to create conditions for the present stalemate to be overcome. Kuwai= was extremely successful in the first conference that was made and we will=be working very closely with the Yemen authorities to see when and how a ne= strong initiative for peace would be possible. We are not facing any pressure and we conceded that no pressur= would lead to anything. But we are not having any pressure, there is techn=cal work being conducted and in the end that will be presented to me and I w=11 take the decision according to what I will feel is the right thing to do= First of all, there is an initiat=ve that my special representative is trying to push in order to create cond=tions for both Hodeidah and Sanaa to allow for an effective use for humanit=rian purposes for these two very EFTA_R1_01868916 EFTA02637877 important infrastructures. I hope that it w=ll be possible for an agreement to be achieved between the parties to allow=for Hodeidah and Sanaa to be fully operational for the humanitarian needs o= the Yemeni people who are suffering in such a terrible way and deserves ou= solidarity and commitment.
