The IPFCA was founded on January 1, 2000. It's primary mission is to help p=lice officers and firefighters during traumatic times by helping with educa=ion, counseling, equipment and funding. The training is certified and endorsed by the Michigan Commission on Law Enf=rcement, MCOLES, and recognised by city and federal agencies across the Uni=ed States. More specifically, a financial gift can do one of the following: 1) Provide training, education, and certification to Police and Fire Chaplai=s. 2) Training, education and counseling to police officers and firefighters su=fering from Post Traumatic Stress in times of tragedy, along with their fam=lies, who in many instances have been effected by trauma. 3) Counseling the families of police officers and firefighters when the offi=ers have been seriously hurt, maimed or killed in the line of duty. 4) Equipping the IPFCA teams for travel to cities where trauma or domestic t=rrorism has taken place.
