Dear Dr =enwick,<=p>
I =rite further to your letter to the College's Professor Simon =cVeigh, dated 13 February 2017. I apologise that this
correspondence =as taken some time to reach you and for the inconvenience and =ncertainty that this may have caused.
The =ollege's Ethical Committee to Consider the Acceptance of Gifts is =cheduled to convene a meeting on 21 February
2017. On that occasion, =he Committee will consider the offer made by the Enhanced Education =rust to contribute
funding to work being done by yourself and Professor =oydeep Bhattacharya.
It is =ecognised that it would be preferable to be able to accept or decline =he aforementioned offer at the earliest
possible occasion. To that end, =fforts have been made to convene the Committee's meeting on an =arlier date.
Unfortunately, however, these have not been successful. I =eeply regret the frustration that will undoubtedly be caused
by the relayed decision making process in this matter. I hope, however, you =ill undertstand that the College must
follow appropriate and rigorous =rocesses.
I will =evert to you following the meeting of the Committee detailed =bove.
Yours sincerely,
I
