Gulfstream engineering Savanah is reviewing the corroded area, taking into a=count the part is not available until Jan 4th, and not a saftey of flight i=sue, we hope to obtain a 30 day extension from Engineering to require us to=clean, prime and install new rivets as temporary repair. I'm told I will have firm answer later today., Pylon Precooler: I spoke to Tech support, Gulfstream recommends doing a full system integrity=check of PreCooler system and cabin pressurization, which includes installi=g a temporary digital temp sensor in the pylon to make sure hot air is trig=ering the Pylon Precooler operation. Tech support suggest checking Air cycl= machine temperature outlet, since functionality and temperatures of all pr=ssurization components have an effect on preCooler operation. If we get the 30 day extension, I'd like to have Westfield, Savanah or Bruns=ick Gulfstream accomplish the corrosion repair and accomplish Precooler che=k,. If you agree?
