Based on our conversation yesterday i have attached article regarding debt restructing for insolvent companies and
forgiveness of debt income per section 108 i believe there is an exclusion for which only applies to the extent of
insolvency
Insolvency Calculation:
Total Liabilities immediately before discharge less FMV of total asses before dischage = Extent to which taxpayer is
insolvent
do we know if us news is owned as a c corp, s corp or partnership?
