You should hear from us in the coming week. In the meantime, I would like to mention an unrelated item. Each year in June, the Trusts and Estates Group of UJA- Federation hosts an event. As part of its fundraising efforts, it selects an honoree. This year, I have agreed to serve that role. With that honor comes the responsibility of filling seats at the event, soliciting ads for the journal and seeking contributions to assist UJA fulfill its charitable mission. As you know, UJA cares for those in need and rescues people in harm's way throughout the world. UJA helps Jews and non-Jews alike with emergency relief, medical and food supplies, housing, education, counseling and job connections. While I would be delighted if you were able to attend the event, I certainly would understand your taking a pass on the opportunity to mingle with hundreds of trusts and estates lawyers. That said, I would be honored if you could make a contribution or take a journal ad, which funds will be used to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
